Where would you like to go?
Choosing where to go on your holiday is always a difficult decision, but picking a fantastic property in the right location ensures that your holiday gets off to a great start
Are you relocating or looking for a base to explore a new area?
Hiring a holiday let property is a great way to discover more about a new area that you may be moving to. Whether it is your first visit to come property hunting or you simply need a base whilst you relocate, many of our advertisers will have the perfect property for you which can often be booked for long periods of time. Use the “Booking Enquiry” form to contact the advertiser and discuss your requirements.
Are your travel dates flexible?
If you have set dates on which you can travel, it may limit the search return for holiday let properties, particularly if you want to take your holiday at popular times or in a desirable location. The more flexible you are with your travel dates then the more choice will be available to you.
If you do need to travel on certain dates, especially during peak period then we recommend that you book as early as possible.
Do you have any special requirements i.e. wheelchair access, car parking spaces, a downstairs bathroom, or specific local amenities, etc?
Our advertisers will provide information on what amenities are available in the property and where appropriate the area that the property is located in. This information can be found in either the “Features” section or in the property description. If what you require is not advertised it does not necessarily mean that it is not available. If in doubt, always use the “Booking Enquiry” facility on Rightmove.co.uk to find out the required information before you book. It will often be the case that our advertisers will recommend alternative properties if the one that you are considering is not suitable for your needs.
Are you celebrating a special occasion i.e. Birthday, Anniversary, Family Reunion or New Year?
Many of our advertisers will be able to recommend special and unique properties that will suit and enhance any special occasion or event. If you haven't found what you are looking for, use the “Booking Enquiry” facility on Rightmove.co.uk to ask any advertiser what holiday let properties they have available that will help you celebrate your special event in style.
Is the property suitable for children / elderly people?
Many of the properties advertised on Rightmove.co.uk are beautiful character properties, which are full of traditional charm however, some of these older styles of property may not be suitable for the very young or elderly. If you have any questions or concerns then check with the advertiser using the 'Booking Enquiry' facility before you book to ensure the property is suitable for your particular needs.
Is the property suitable for disabled persons?
Some properties will almost certainly have facilities catering for the disabled. Before booking your holiday let, it is strongly advised that you check the “Features” section or contact the advertiser using the 'Booking Enquiry' button.
When is the best time to book?
It is advised that you book early if you want to go away during peak times such as school or bank holidays. Christmas and New Year are also very popular times and can often be booked well in advance. How will you get to the property?
Before you book a property it is worth considering how you are going to get there and how long the journey will take. Most advertisers will require you to give them an estimated time of arrival at the property so that someone is able to meet you on your arrival, give you the keys and inform you of any special features within the property such as the code for the alarm or how to work the oven.
What can I expect from the advertiser that I book my holiday let with?
We expect all advertisers who market their property on Rightmove.co.uk to offer a very high level of service. Queries and questions should be answered quickly and effectively. Information such as directions to your holiday let, arrival / departure times and information on the area should be provided by the advertiser in a timely fashion.

What if you have to cancel?
If you do have to cancel, please let the advertiser know straight away by using the Rightmove.co.uk “Booking Enquiry” feature or the contact details you have been provided with and have your booking reference ready. Most advertisers will charge a cancellation fee and the amount will be dependent on how much notice you have given and how close to the arrival date you cancel. Please read the advertiser's terms and conditions for their cancellation policies.
Arriving and departing the property
Most of our advertisers will run weekly bookings from Saturday to Saturday, 2 or 3 night weekend breaks or mid-week breaks on a Monday. This can change between advertisers and from property to property. In most cases it may be possible to book the property outside of the standard schedule by agreement with the advertiser. If in doubt, use the “Booking Enquiry” facility.
When you make your booking you will be advised what time you can arrive at the property and what time you will need to leave the property on your day of departure.
Housekeeping and Damage
The majority of holiday lets advertised on Rightmove.co.uk will be cleaned between each departure and arrival. If you arrive at a property and notice damage that you have not been told about previously by the advertiser i.e., a broken window or door, you should phone the advertiser immediately and inform them of what the problem is. This will ensure that you are not charged for damage that has been caused by the previous occupants.
If you do not leave the property in a clean state or damage the property in any way, it is likely that you will be charged for the cleaning and/or repairs to the property that need to be carried out following your departure. Please check the advertiser's terms and conditions to find out what you could be liable for.
If your question has not been answered by the above guide, please contact the advertiser directly if your query is about a specific property using the 'Booking Enquiry'. Alternatively, you can contact us for any general queries on booking holiday lets on www.cancunpropertyonline.com |
